The draft database is mostly done now.  It's been on the site for a year, but since some parts of it were incomplete I didn't put it on the menu until recently.  There are a few more things to be done, but it's putting out good information now, with details if you want them.

I've had the data for years, but have never put any of it on-line because I've never been real serious in getting the information correct.  I'm made some efforts last year to clean it up, but I will never be really confident in this because I don't care about it.  The AFL information is hard to get and can be conflicting.  I decided to put it up without the AFL info, so it's just NFL at the moment.

I decided to put the information up because of the lack of any good information out there on the draft in relation to the colleges.  Even the NFL couldn't get the school's conference affilations correct, which upon reflection, made some sense because they are the NFL and college is not really their thing.  Since college is my thing and I had the information, I decided to put it out there, with filters that I wasn't able to find else where.

You can filter by date, draft type, round, pick number, up to 6 positions, school name, conference name.  You can group and count them by school, conference, NFL team, Round, and Position.

You can queries number of picks by schools, by selecting the full range and hitting select:

If you filter by rounds, you can get just picks for the first round:

Selections by conference, by picking the Conference Group By option (link: first round only):

You can even do things like selecting a school, and grouping by rounds to see how many picks they had in each round (link: USC's all-time picks by round):

http://www.cfbtrivia.com/cfbt_draft_page.php?fry=1936&thy=2012&draft=on&fround=1&tround=32&fpick=1&tpick=500&pos1=ALL&pos2=&pos3=&pos4=&pos5=&pos6=&teamname=USC&confname=ALL&output=3

Or by position (link: USC's all-time picks by position):

http://www.cfbtrivia.com/cfbt_draft_page.php?fry=1936&thy=2012&draft=on&fround=1&tround=32&fpick=1&tpick=500&pos1=ALL&pos2=&pos3=&pos4=&pos5=&pos6=&teamname=USC&confname=ALL&output=4

Of find out things like which team has had the most quarterback's drafted:

http://www.cfbtrivia.com/cfbt_draft_page.php?fry=1936&thy=2012&draft=on&fround=1&tround=32&fpick=1&tpick=500&pos1=QB&pos2=&pos3=&pos4=&pos5=&pos6=&teamname=ALL&confname=ALL&output=0

The supplemental drafts can be added as well as the USFL draft.

I hope to add a few more simple things, plus update the data, usually the day after the draft.
